Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley (D. OR) in support of U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr.’s (D. PA) re-election campaign:

 

The first thing you need to know about Pennsylvania's Senator Bob Casey is that he is a profoundly decent human being. The next thing you need to know is that he's a hell of an effective Senator.

Both of those attributes drive Donald Trump and the GOP money machine crazy, and that's why he's lashing out against Senator Casey.

The latest? You can probably guess. Trump attacked Senator Casey in a series of nasty tweets.
