Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) on Wednesday will announce that he's seeking an injunction in federal court designed to stop a final vote on Brett Kavanaugh, asserting an obstruction of his constitutional duty to advise and consent on nominees.

I’ve no idea if this is even remotely legally kosher, never mind if Senator Merkley will be recognized as having standing to be heard by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (where the filing is currently pending)…but given the GOP is willing to jettison all precedent and procedure here, it doesn’t sound too unreasonable.
Those with any legal background or grounding, please chime in. We really need some good news here.
