uhoh someone wants to check my credentials going into bathroom false alarm they're open to anyone any gender just no pets please except prolly seeing eye dogs with appropriate credentials there comes someone else with a first-timer button apparently unconcerned about announcing higher virginity to the world oh wait Kathy tells me it pertains solely to first-time attendance at NN not ... extraneous experience now standing before me is Meteor Blades no I don't have pictures so I can't prove it but it really happened and I'm the richer for it particularly since he was the person I most hoped to meet at Netroots Nation this panelist is telling of death threats and a horrific doxxing experience in which her last six addresses concluding with the current one were posted online fuck that cowardly asshole if that happened to me I'd top comment that person's a$$ into benevolence oh I finally got to meet brillig the person I most wanted to see at Netroots Nation oh I finally got to meet gizmo the person I most hoped to meet at Netroots Nation along with gizmo’s husband so great oh i finally got to meet the great Ed Tracey the person I most hoped to encounter at Netroots Nation in conversation with him a related thing came up he got a puzzled look on his face not being able to recall a name or a reference of the related thing unclear was whether the puzzlement pertained merely to the forgotten incident or rather to the unfamiliar experience of not being able to recall something you know what a phenomenal memory he has he writes diaries no one else ever could totally unique oh i finally got to meet my Texas hero nomandates the person I was most surprised to find at Netroots Nation I saw navajo smile her 1204th smile of the evening but who's counting and those were just the ones I saw from the person I most hoped to see at Netroots Nation director of community indeed what a brilliant choice Daily Kos made in that one our evening was interrupted by news stories out of Nice about perhaps the most miserable cowardly terrorist attack in many years French police killed the m f s o b but not before he mowed down and killed at least 84 people with a truck injuring many more I don't know about you guys but I’m getting pretty tired of this $hit it didn’t make the evening any easier as hard as we tried to stay focused getting a vowel from Vanna wasn't hard but no punctuation or line breaks were for sale perhaps you noticed friday morning Kathy and I went to see a marvelous candidate for State Senate in Georgia Tamara Johnson Shealey she told the story of how she came to her candidacy it involved deep emotion but what a special candidate she is Egberto Willies was something of a co-host for the event I got to talk to him a few moments afterward a terrific fellow named Mondale Robinson was there from DFA we exchanged contact info after the presentation that is a followup I will do Kathy got hugs from all of them which makes a good start toward the daily quota next up is Dismantling Rape Culture in Progressive spaces one of the speakers also spoke a a magnificent abortion stigma panel yesterday incidentally the NN app is just terrific you can rate and review panels you can read short bios on the speakers you can contact other attendees you can post pictures and videos very cool I have not yet had dialogue with the organizers but they scheduled two panels that I feel I must attend one on a Father’s Perspective with Michael Brown’s father and one on the Next Supreme Court and the Fight for the Soul of Our Constitution Kathy and I had a terrific conversation with Ed Tracey yes the same one in Top Comments about terrorism I started it about the Hyperloop because I can’t conceive of any way to develop it and secure it we also went to the Daily Kos caucus it was spirited and passionate who would have thought Rachel Colyer and Will Rockafellow spoke along with others It was very good seeing our peeps like that oh I finally got to speak with Adam B the person I most hoped to meet at Netroots Nation people have been talking about how different Netroots Nation is this year as a first timer it doesn't seem so different to me at all I had to visit the facilities after the caucus so I went to the bathroom closest to the caucus room where I encountered the delightful smileycreek at one of the wash stations in the rest room it was a gender neutral rest room what genders are most rest rooms I will say that if you have occasion to use a gender neutral rest room for the first time you can’t do better than picking one with smileycreek in it oh I got to see Denise Oliver Velez the person I most hoped to see at Netroots Nation later in the day I went to the session with Michael Brown’s father and the fathers of four other young black men killed by police officers I had to leave the room when I received a phone call and went to the rest room while out where I encountered Mondale Robinson again he said he was in the room also as a black man he had a clear sense of the intensity of the experiences of those fathers none of them old themselves he said it was too hard for him he couldn't stay in the room I asked how they didn't go insane we were talking about events that should never happen in any society afterward I went to a session on the Supreme Court with Senator Merkley Renee Bracey Sherman who had been on the panel for Saying Abortion Aloud and Storytelling as a tool to fight such fights was also on that panel terrific speaker and passionate advocate one of the best I’ve seen this week oh I got to meet Renee Bracey Sherman the person I most wanted to meet at Netroots Nation though I didn’t know it beforehand if possible I will email her following the event about issues of mutual concern
